IAFIPL Cassette Filter offer an excellent filtration efficiency for the companies where there are space constraints in the process and dust collected has to be re-used or dropped back into the process, cassette bag filters can be used. Typically, these units are devoid of any hopper. For example, in belt conveying applications, dust is generated when material falls from one conveyor on to the other. Cassette bag filter located on the dropping conveyor collects the dust. On pulsing, dust falls back onto this conveyor thus avoiding the need for a separate dust handling unit under the bag filter hopper.

The range is a reverse jet cassette dust collector. It was built for continuous use in industrial process filtration and dust collection applications. Air to Air Heat Exchangers, or Air Plates as they are also known, are an extremely effective and low-cost way of reducing the heating or cooling loads on the treatment of process air and air conditioning systems. A reduced heating or cooling load means lower energy bills and carbon emissions. Air Plates use the exhaust air to pre-heat or pre-cool the incoming supply air, without the two air streams ever mixing. One such media offered is our direct replacement Oval Shaped, EPTFE (Teflon) Membrane Coated PM-TEC Ex-Charge (Anti-Static) media material for our various 2375, 3800, 4750, and 5100 series PJAC (Pulse Jet Air Cleaned Filter) units. This filtration media provides our filters with superior release characteristics while providing a Nominal Efficiency of 99.8%.

To ensure the filter bags have a long usage life they are commonly coated with a filter enhancer (pre-coat). The use of chemically inert limestone (calcium carbonate) is most common as it maximizes efficiency of dust collection (including fly ash) via formation of what is called a dust cake or coating on the surface of the filter media. This not only traps fine particulates but also provides protection for the bag itself from moisture, and oily or sticky particulates which can bind the filter media. Without a pre-coat the filter bag allows fine particulates to bleed through the bag filter system, especially during start-up, as the bag can only do part of the filtration leaving the finer parts to the filter enhancer dust cake.

Butterfly dampers are an excellent choice when sealing efficiency is more important than flow modulation. They provide reasonable control while not compromising sealing efficiency. You would see these dampers mainly in all mining, cement, industrial or power applications where abrasion, corrosion and dust-loading are prevalent.

Guillotine dampers are perfect for flow isolation. With the blade and the drive system going completely out of the flow when open, these dampers offer the least pressure drop in the duct. Depending on the application, IAFIPL can offer Guillotine dampers with a solid blade or a hollow core blade. Many applications require complete man-safe operations on the other side of the Guillotine and hence the need for a seal air fan.

Slide Gate dampers are similar to Guillotine dampers, but are mainly used for solid media applications. Ideally suited to be installed in the chute or hopper, these dampers act in effectively opening or closing the flow of material in the duct.

These 3-way dampers are suited best in bypass systems. A single Diverter damper replaces two Guillotine dampers and is controlled by just one actuator – thus making it a very cost effective choice.
